Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Mulliner Bentley's bespoke coachbuilding unit has designed a distinctive keycase to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the brand. It is made of Dark Stained Burr Walnut with Piano Black Veneer and includes a flying "B" paperweight keys, as well as an unreleased booklet with 1930s 8 Litre images.

This is the perfect way to welcome a new owner of a vehicle.

Aesthetics

As a design-centric company Bentley takes its aesthetics seriously. It is evident in the precise positioning of its quilting, the selection of leather from by-products of cattle, the wood that comes from sustainably managed forests and the innovative patterns on its levers. A car like the Continental GT W12 beckons as you walk up to it to show its sculptural beauty and power with carefully selected lighting.

The Continental GT is the most sophisticated open-top Bentley ever created. The rear tonneau on the Continental GT, for example, featured the largest piece ever of dark-stained Burr Walnut veneer that was book-matched. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.

It is this bespoke design, craftsmanship and attention to detail that have established Bentley as the most sought-after automotive brand. The company continues to push the boundaries by utilizing the most advanced technology and workmanship, such as the introduction of an instrument cluster that is digital with an electric tilt-opening back glass sunroof, an artisan-made docking station for Apple iPads, and electrochromic  smart glass that can be changed between opaque and transparent by the button.

A century since its founding, Bentley - now under sole Volkswagen ownership after years of fighting with BMW and BMW - celebrated its centennial in 2019. Before the pandemic planning took place, the marque was hosting a variety of special events and launches planned to mark the occasion.

Design

Bentley is known as a luxury car maker that produces extravagant and luxurious vehicles. But even the keys are an oath. The Bentayga Key is made of sterling silver and features the large B' logo to inform everyone that you're a Bentley. It's also engraved with the years 1919 and 2019 to mark the company's centenary.

Bentley Mulliner redesigned and redesigned the Mulsanne to be the ultimate Grand Touring vehicle. The rear seats are designed to offer passengers unmatched comfort and privacy. They were inspired by the luxury private aircraft. A customized heating, air conditioning, and ventilation system has been developed to ensure that every passenger has the perfect climate control setting.

The Mulsanne has a twin turbocharged 6.75 litre W12 engine that puts out 560bhp, and 479lb-ft of torque. This powerhouse is complemented by a new suspension system that provides Bentley's famously quiet ride.

Bentley has introduced a special specification for cars manufactured after 2019 to celebrate its centennial.  bentley key fob  is known as the Centenary Specification. This includes contrast stitching and cross-stitching in Centenary Gold thread throughout the cabin. The Bentley Wings are embroidered with Centenary Gold on the headrests, seats and other areas of the car.  bentley car keys  adds to the celebration. A custom Bentley key case is also included in the Centenary Specification, making the Bentley experience all-inclusive.

Function

The Bentley Mulsanne Key comes with two buttons that open the trunk, and another that starts the vehicle. It also has a switch that can activate the parking break. There is a knob to fold and unfold the mirrors when parking in tight spots. Using this feature can aid in getting in and out of your vehicle more easily.

The key is constructed from vegetable tanned leather. It takes two days to create each one. The key is cut by hand, then shaped, stitched to seal, and polished to create a high-end result. It is durable small and compact, and it fits the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is similar to the Volkswagen Phaeton's massive car key, but feels heavier and more luxurious.

It is also equipped with Secure-A-Key which prevents keyless entry theft. This device is placed inside the remote control fob and then shuts it off when the key isn't used for more than a few minutes. It blocks thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices that can unlock and start the car.

Bentley's distinctive design reflects the values of the company that include high-quality craftsmanship engineering expertise and cutting-edge technology. Over 4,000 employees are employed at its Crewe headquarters, and are responsible for the development, design, and production of Bentley cars. They apply their skills that have been passed through generations to current automotive technology. This is British manufacturing at its best.

Personalisation

Bentley's bespoke division, Mulliner, allows customers to create their own vehicle. The "mood station" lets customers pick images that inspire them. They can range from beautiful landscapes to sporting events. Each time a selection is made, a pattern is created that reveals the model and color preferences for the personalized Bentley.

The resulting configuration is stored on individual R.F.I.D.-enabled key cards that are then presented to guests in a hand-crafted key case. Keys are also equipped with Bentley Muliner Personalised Welcome Lamps that illuminate the door's opening path with the owner's name or emblem as they make their way towards the vehicle.

Bentley estimates that it takes about 500 man-hours to construct and build the Mulsanne. One of the main reasons for that lengthy effort is a deliberate decision to adopt the latest technology. The Crewe factory workers do not employ a machine to place perfectly matched cross stitched leather seats. Instead, they do it by hand. And rather than using the car's built-in sensors to guide it to parallel and perpendicular parking spots drivers must perform the task by hand.

At the event, Bentley presented its Mulliner personalization capabilities by presenting one of a kind that was the Mulsanne W.O. The Mulsanne W.O. Edition pays homage to founder William Osler Bentley.  bentley key replacement  limited edition cars include keys that display a piece of the 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
